The Silent Sea

The Silent Sea, this series/season was quite impressive and very successful. As it was quite a fan favourite, were the series were top 10 whilst being uploaded for the audience to watch in Netflix. This also links with the popularity of the famous Korean actor Han Yun-jae, were his fame made the series more popular, as many of his fans will be watching it for him only.

Furthermore, they uploaded a teaser trailer for the series, which was only 1:30. This were good as it gave audiences a different type of series, as the series were quite unique. This gave the series more fame and excitement.
Nonetheless, they put their trailer in different languages for better advertisement and makes the series more featured in different countries. Which increases the number of audiences who are going to watch this, indicating they will have more income.As they were trailers from Indonesia, Deutschland, Russia, Thailand and Italy.
What features can be improved?
The features that can be improved to make this series more popular than it is right now, is that they could've made the actors post on their social media (Instagram) letting everyone know about their movie. Furthermore, I think they didn't really advertise the series very good, as I couldn't find any interviews about their upcoming movie. So if they actually interviewed the actors it would've been more popular. Also it's quite an disadvantage as it's from Korea, were normally it's not popular for most Korean movies / series being like worldwide sensations like Spiderman, Avengers Endgame etc...

In this product, the creators of Assassins Creed Valhalla campaign their new upcoming video game quite good, as they also had advantages whilst they were campaigning their new game. As the whole franchise is quite massive and popular giving the creators and the crew more of a time to improve there game because they wouldn't have to worry about the number of viewers who will watch the trailer as many fans automatically watch something that has 'Assassins Creed' on it. However, their campaign methods are quite impressive as they uploaded a teaser trailer which highlighted an artist who works for the game, decided to sketch and draw the main character and the areas that will appear whilst you play the game. They do this to excite the fans, as they see a lot of action and this just creates a sense of eagerness for the fans making the game more popular to be released. Furthermore, they followed up with a 'Cinematic World Premiere Trailer'. Revealing the whole finished trailer. As they gave a specific date of the trailer, meaning they would wait for every Assassins Creed fan, so everyone would watch it. Nonetheless, they also did one of the most impressive and well waited for, part of the trailer. They added the 'Hidden Blade', which made the fans more excited for the game. As there were backlash when it came to the other game which was released in 2018. Assassins Creed Oddesey. As the fans were upset they didn't add the famous 'Hidden Blade'. As this weapon is very popular and it was the foundation of the whole franchise. So when they added the hidden blade in the Assassins Valhalla Trailer, it became more popular. With almost 10 and above million views were tallied.

The Results
This was a clear and understanding results that made me decide which genre to pick for my artist. As 80% of the people picked Hip-Hop and only 20% chose Pop Music. So the reason why I decided to pick this question is that I found it a struggle to pick which genre to do. So overall, this will make my artist more likeable as majority of my results like Hip-Hop. As more viewers will like my artist because of my chosen genre.
The results that I received for the age range, is quite good as I know what type of audience my artist will face whilst releasing the album.With 100% are teenagers. Which will make it easier as teens like mostly rap, RnB and Hip-Hop etc... So this will increase popularity and relevancy for my artist. Where I will implement this onto posters, covers for the right audience, using images and colours that is associated with teenagers nowadays.
This was incredible as I really wanted my artist to become diverse, with 'diversity' and 'Very unique when it comes to music' are both 40%, as this increases more viewership - meaning more recognition for my artist. As many artist who are diverse and unique are quite popular in the music industry. And also to top it off, I will make this artist very unique compared to other artist, as he will be doing music in a different styles and choosing different genres, so the audience won't get bored of my artist.
This will help me bring out the artist when his album is coming out, were Instagram and Youtube are both 40%, as YouTube is great when it comes to social media fame, as I might be making my artist feature in a collaboration with famous Yotubers. As this will increase more people to listen to my album. And also Instagram, being the most massive social media app, as this will have additional help when releasing my album cover and tour dates, making it more easier to connect with fans.
Black being more chosen is quite good as over 80% chose Black as it follows the inspiration of my album cover, as Agust D album cover was quite nice and unique as I'm trying to get influence from that album cover. Furthermore, coming in second was Red which was 60% as that was quite good as red is quite bright, which can attract a lot of people. And can bring out a different colour scheme of album covers.
This was quite a step down as majority of people which was 80% said no, which is understandable as many teens don't really watch these Light Night TV Shows. So I will probably make my artist feature in Podcasts or videos from Youtubers
Now this was quite unique as many people have different artist. As people chose NF, J.Cole, Mitski, Sonder etc... So it's quite mixed from different artist. Furthermore, this will be an advantage, as my artist will probably have the mix of these genre. This will make my artist unique which people will like. I will probably gain some interest of different album covers on each artist. So my album cover will probably be mixed with colours that are associated with these artists, giving my album cover very unique and different compared to the other artists.
Now these two clothing styles are 50/50, which is Streetwear and Casual Clothings. This will be good as streetwear can be very good when it comes to music videos. However, casual clothings are good as many artist wear quite expensive clothings and accessories. So, casual clothing will make my artist stand out from the rest of the artist.
This was an eye opener, were I decided which audience hate what genre, so my artist won't get any backlash when producing songs that the audience don't like. So Pop Music was chosen the most which is 40%. So I won't be putting Pop Music on my album. However, the most confusing bit is that they picked Hip-Hop which was 20%, so I might be using different genres to attract other viewers to my album.
This is good as my collaborations are quite mixed from different ethnicities. So this is a good relief as many of them 'Don't mind' which was 80%. So I will be using different languages for my artist's album.
Dates For The Artist
This will be the ideas for my release dates for my products like the album, tour etc...
Billboards release date : April 2022 - As this will let people know that a new artist is releasing their album, so people are ready to pre-order.
Album release date: May 2022 - Nearly into the summer, people are on holiday.
Website release date: June 2022 - This is an excellent way for the people to find out more about this upcoming artist and will get to know him through the website.
Tour Dates : July/August 2022 - This is a good opportunity for people to go to his tour as many of his target audience are usually on break for the summer, so many more people will be there at his tour.
Clothing for the album release date: October / December 2022 - This can let people buy the clothing for Christmas which is an excellent way to push more buyers. As people will witness the tour and will start to like the artist and the album which leads them to buy some merchandise for memories or keeping.
So, Overall the planning of the dates are well balanced and planned out. As the timing is quite decent as not many events are happening at once which can ruin some aspects of bringing out the artist to the audience. As I balanced everything making sure everyone gets to experience everything. As Summer Tour is very good as many people will start to party and stay more later as the days are more longer.
My Artist
Questions.
1) How is cohesion created through the different products (think colour schemes, props, costumes etc.)?
My chosen genre is hip-hop, as these two of Jackson Wang's album cover which is allocated in the left and right. These are the album covers that I want to create. As the colours are quite nice and simple, with quite autumn colours are shown, giving it more a simplistic look but a more elegant feeling. Also with Agust D - Suga, his album cover which is the in the middle, is quite basic but more meaningful as it was his first solo album. This album cover is quite nice as I'm trying to forge all of these album covers into one. The middle album cover, the artist is wearing streetwear, as I'm trying to implement this for my artist. Furthermore, the cohesion of Hip-Hop clothing is quite based on one thing. Which they wear quite fashionable clothing, and quite unique clothing styles on which Agust D did on his cover.
2) How do artists from this genre normally promote themselves?
Hip-Hop artists normally promote their albums or anything important for their careers to mainly instagram, as that social media app is quite good when it comes to connecting with fans, as they can go on LIVE promoting their new album to the fans. Or they can post their album cover stating to preorder. As majority of artist use Instagram for their album release. This links with Twitter, as this app is quite important as you can tweet out a message stating the release date of the album. However, overall they probably go on Instagram Lives promoting their upcoming album.
3) Are there any specific ways of speaking / communicating that these artists use in your chosen genre?
These artist normally talk normal, but they have a certain act were it signifies that these are famous artists. As they present themselves as rich, were they have huge jewellery and fancy clothing brands to show that they are winning in life. As Drake showed off his house when he produced Toosie Slide as he danced and showed many features inside his huge mansion.
4) How do they get the audience attention?
When it comes to getting the audience attention is quite similar to every artist nowadays. As my artist will probably use social media to attract the audience like Instagram, Twitter, Youtube etc... As many teenagers and young adults use these socials quite often. So, this is good as people who use these socials are my target audience for my artist. Also, going to podcasts, as many people who are not popular, gain popularity just by going to a certain podcast. With this linking with Drake's popular song called Tootsie Slide, the song got even more popular when Tiktok started dancing to it. So, overall I need to make more songs that can be linked with teenagers life and song taste. As a lot of Doja Cat's songs are quite famous on Tiktok, which gained more listeners for Doja's album.
5) Where do this genre normally advertise their products?
They normally use social media to advertise their products for example: Instagram. As generally they go on Lives talking about their products and interacting with fans. Also they use Tiktok as that will increase the popularity for their album. As a lot of artists songs are featured on Tiktok regularly.

These are the fonts I decided to pick for my album cover. As they are quite good and unique, as it's quite static and distorted which I prefer when it comes to the artist. As my artist is influenced and inspired by Agust D. As that artist wears quite streetwear clothing. Furthermore, another reason why I decided to pick these type of fonts is because of the title of my album. Which is Lost in the act, as this name has a meaning under it. Where it signifies that the artist is not finding who he really is and pretending that he is a big celebrity and a huge singer, which he will slowly find his true form.

Font Styles -
These 5 font styles are quite similar to each other as all of them have a sense of distortion. This links with my inspiration of Agust D's Album cover D-2. As the font is quite distorted. Furthermore, the 2nd font style is quite samurai like. As I was trying to gain some inspiration to Jackson Wang's Album cover.
Overall, I'm trying to have some unique font styles for my album cover, giving it more eyes and viewership. This usually links with the design for my album cover, as I'm probably going to design the album quite dark, as black being the main colour for my artist, I might as well have black as the main colour for my album cover. Just like Agust D did.

Evaluation
The final evaluation for my artist is quite straight forward, as many things were changed throughout each month creating my own made-up artist. Like for example: my plan was to ask someone to become my artist. However, the person wasn't able to do it. Which led me to use my own pictures of myself which is quite a down fall for my website/artist. Furthermore, the posters that I created were quite a boost fir my artist as it gave more relevancy and somewhat realism for my artist. As I chose different colours to attract different audiences as my artist is an up and coming artist, which is good for attracting others to see who he is.
Feedback
So, according to my feedback from my peers about the genre being presented for my artist. Many of the answers were mainly on Hip-Hop. Which is an overall success, as I stated that before I started creating my artist name and persona of the overall artist. I made sure that my artist has the right look and music taste to fit the whole hip-hop genre. Which at the end many of the viewers are understanding that this artist is for Hip-Hop, so no confusion was encountered about the genre for the artist. As I can say that the media platforms helped bring out a hip-hop vibe for the artist.
Another feedback I got for my peers if the right name for my artist, as I had many doubts about my naming of my artist. As it won't be suitable for the gene or it wont fit the whole genre regardless. However, at the end many of my peers were fine with the name and fits perfectly with the genre. As I had to make sure my artist name is unique and different from the rest. Which is a good success in my behalf as I introduced the artist correctly.
Now, this is one of the most important information I needed to further my evaluation. Which is the opinions about my artist website, as this is one of the main sources for my artist, as it can be the downfall for my artist as if the website isn't pleasing towards the viewers then the artist won't get any spotlight nor recognition. However, approximately it was 50/50 between, Yes and Alright. Which is good for me as no-one said anything bad about it yet, which is a good sign for my artist and campaign. So, overall I probably attracted the viewers eyes and made my website look good for my artist to be presented.
Another important information for my evaluation is this question which is about the designs of my own posters that I created on Photoshop. Which overall is a good review as many people liked my posters as it stats that 100% of people find my posters suitable and good for my artist. Which means the layout and design of the posters really gave interest to the viewers and will help boost others to see the posters.
Now, this is quite different when it comes to straight forward answers. As many of the feedback were quite aimed at one point but this is quite spread out as 50% of people said that it's well designed, however 25% of people said its good and needs improvement. So, this quite a downfall as the merchandise should be the one that attracts many different fans to check the artist or to promote the new album. However, the feedback is quite spaced out which overall I can say that the merchandise was alright but wasn't worthy enough to be put into a website for an artist. So, probably the merchandise can be improved by adding different colors to it or probably making the merchandise different from other shops attracting more viewers to that instead.
This links with question 4, as I wanted many feedback for my posters for advice if I did good for my artist or did I meet the brief for my artist. So overall, the opinions for my artist is that 75% of the feedback states that it's good and 25% needs slight improvement, which is good enough as the posters weren't really good when it comes to professionalism and it didn't really fit my artist's main colors being grey and black, which links with my impression of Agust D's album cover. But, at the end majority of the feedback came out positive.
This question gave me an understanding on how to present my artist properly. As my original target audience was targeted for teenagers. Which leads to the reviews being mainly teenagers and older which is a good outcome as I succeeded on bringing out the target audience for my artist as people are realizing that my artist is actually for teenagers which is good as at the very beginning I stated tat my artist will be for teenagers and older.
The final question was for the layout of the whole website as many were stuck on 50/50 which is being 'good' as majority of the people find the layout of the website good and suitable and not jumbled up and confusing which is perfect as I tried to make the website more realistic and more of a professional website for the artist.
Final Feedback
So, overall at the very end of the evaluation for my final product, I did quite good than expected as many of my designs and ideas were quite decent but not good enough to the point of making my artist unique. However, at the end many people find my designs and website good for my artist.
WWW: I'll say that the posters and websites were a good boost for my artist to become recognized and I tried to implement a professional layout for my website which is influenced by many real artist like Post Malone's and Drakes. So, It went well for me.
EBI: Probably adding a different person rather than me, as I didn't really find someone to become my artist as many of my friends were quite busy and couldn't do it. So, if I actually added another person It would've improved my artist and campaign tremendously.
Improvements [Evaluation]
Through the feedback I've gathered, many of my peers have said my merchandise need improvements, which is correct. Probably when I'm able to start again, I would focus on the layout and the design of the clothing and how it can convey meaning and being able to connect to the album as well. However, probably I needed to make the prices of the merchandise more affordable.
Also another improvement I needed to change is the artist posters, as it didn't really match the whole artist main colours and theme. Which is understanding that one poster was quite colourful and bright and some were quite dark. So, I should've stuck to a colour theme to balance it out.
So, overall I needed to change some features to help improve my artist. However, I did well but some features we're a downfall. If I had another chance to change it, I would change

The feature I would change to improve my posters is the font, as I needed to stick to one font, which is able to convey more of a meaning towards the artist. Additionally, I would change the whole colour scheme of my posters, as I went of track when picking different colours as one poster was colourful and one wasn't. So, I needed to stick to a colour theme.

Merchandise
Features that I would change for my merchandise, Is probably the design of my merchandise. It's quite basic, with quite dull colours. As it didn't attract more audiences to check my merchandise. So, the design of my merchandise needs to change. Probably, using a different image, that will convey a better meaning for the artist rather than a white flower. Another feature I would change is the colour scheme of my merchandise, the colour scheme was good for my artist as it links with the colour theme of the whole artist campaign. However, I would change the whole colour scheme and slightly change the merchandise, so not everything will look similar.

The layout of my website wasn't good enough, as some features were not very clear and understanding because of the layout. As I needed to change certain aspects to my website making it more professional. Like, for example: the first page of my website, it wasn't the source of attraction as the first page was quite dull and bland making a bad first impression. So, I would change the fist age making it more eye catching to the audience.
